Uchida Coffee Farmm

I was unable to make the trip to the Uchida Coffee Farm so I had to take my own virtual tour. After researching the history of the farm and seeing various images related to the farm, I was disappointed I did not make it. I was struck at how the farm looked so simple and beautiful. I was also taken with the story of its founder Daisaku Uchida. It was a classic tale of how hard work and patience can lead to great things. I was inspired by their work and decided to create a small iMovie of their story.

Pahala Plantation

What a place. I absolutely loved touring the Pahala Platation and the town of Kau. I felt a huge connection to the place since it reminded me of the little towns I used to tour when I lived in New Zealand. Even though it rained most of the time, I had no problem getting out of the car for a look. It really just got better each time we got out of the car.

Please listen to my podcast of my thoughts of the place as well as audio of the various people we met along the way and the stories they had to tell.
